We collect basic tracking data using Google Analytics and WordPress to see how many people visit our website each day.  This data doesn’t include any personally identifiable information.  It includes the type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, basic demographic information, and number of clicks.  This is simply used to analyze trends, administer the site, and track user’s movement around the site.
  2. If someone signs up to our emailing list, we may collect first name, last name, email address, the country of work, role, organisation, or other personal information, which is entered by you, the user.
  3. If you give consent for cookies to be used during your visit, then we would also collect an identifier from your device.
  4. If you end up purchasing a service or product from Humanitarian Data Solutions Limited, then we may collect further personal data from you to prepare necessary agreements.

WordPress – this is the platform of our website.

MailMunch – we use MailMunch to run some web pages on our website, who may store your email address and name.

Thinkific – we use Thinkific as our online course platform.  Your personal information is stored on their platform if you sign up for a free or paid course.

Demio – if you attend a webinar, we use Demio to host our free webinars.  If you sign up for a webinar, they will store your personal information.

Circle – we use Circle as our online community platform.  Your personal information is stored on their platform if you sign up as part of the community.

Your information will only be processed as per the consent you give, and with the expectation that you are a person who has an interest in our services and products.

We will use your name to be able to address emails to you by name.

We may use the country where you work to be able to provide you with country-relevant information.

We will use your email address to email you with helpful information about humanitarian data management.

How long will the data be stored for?

If you signed up to receive email updates or take an online course from us, your email address will be stored until you unsubscribe from the emailing list or course.

Google Analytics data is set to expire after 26 months from when it is collected.
